Ulf Ekberg, a governor of our foundation and a renowned musician, recently returned from a deeply impactful trip to northeastern South Africa, where he visited schools supported by the non-profit organisation Star for Life. His experience highlighted the significant strides made in education over the past two decades and the profound effects on local communities.
During his visit, Ekberg witnessed firsthand the incredible work done by Star for Life, which has built and supported schools that engage around 65,000 students annually. Since its inception, the organisation has empowered over 500,000 young people with knowledge, hope, and opportunities for a brighter future. “Seeing the positive impact on these communities fills me with pride, gratitude, and humility,” he shared on social media.
Star for Life’s life-changing programs focus on enhancing students’ self-esteem and equipping them with essential life skills. The ripple effect of this work is immeasurable, as it fosters resilience and inspires dreams among the youth. Ekberg expressed his admiration for the students he met, stating that he was truly inspired by their determination and aspirations.
As a foundation dedicated to promoting education and community development, we are proud to support initiatives like Star for Life that create lasting change in the lives of young people. Ekberg’s visit serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility to empower future generations through education.
